Amazing

Amazing experience from start to finish, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, even offering a couple hours late check-out. Food was delicious, pool was lovely, spa was relaxing, my room was just gorgeous. Also housekeeping kept leaving me delicious treats throughout the day :) Can't recommend this place highly enough!

A pleasure to stay!!!!!!

I was in love with this hotel once I saw their lovely colonial styled design, looked very cozy , classic but stylish. So I booked this even there are bigger resorts nearby like Novotel/ Sofitel. We tried their spa, restaurant and private boat tour, all reasonably priced as a 5-star hotel! The room facilities were good too, well equipped and very clean. For breakfast, we had buffet breakfast on the first day, even they served a wide variety of food including champagne, but only impressed by the croissants and noodle soup. They added too much water for the coffee and it was tasteless. And then the other day we got a la carte breakfast (guessed because there were not many guests that day), but turned out it was really good, the bread were lovely, and love the egg benedict and mohinga fish soup noodles a lot!! F&B of this resort is a bit weird, some food were impressive (like they offered us to try some canapes when we were having happy hour and they were really good), but some were not up to 5-star hotel standard( we tried the dinner and the food does not taste like the burmese food) We booked their private tour, although it was of course more expensive than the outside source, but as the location of the resort was not closed to the town centre, so it was certainly more convenient to be arranged by the resort. Everything was flexible during the boat tour, and our guide (“Myo” sorry I forgot the spelling) was nice! Staff were responsive, helpful and attentive. The resort is well maintained. Guests here all have good manners too(you know annoying guests could ruin your stay!) Highly recommended when you need a good retreat in Myanmar!

The buffet breakfast/dinner could be done even better as mentioned above. Other than that everything meets/exceeds my expectation!

What was the highlight of Sanctum Inle Resort

Our stay at Sanctum was simply perfect.

The staff was outstanding. Everybody was extremely friendly and always eager to help. The breakfast was hands down the best we had out of the hotels we stayed at during our holiday. We also had a few dinners at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. As we travelled during the wet season, we had a few rainy afternoons which we used to enjoy the spa services and I can only recommend doing so.

The grounds are beautiful.

The grounds are beautiful. We went in the quiet season (July) and were kindly upgraded to a fantastic suite. Immaculate food, very friendly and helpful staff. We can't remember a better hotel stay. Incredible value for money if you go at this time of year.

What a great surprise on Inle Lake

Wow. We were kindly upgraded to the Provost Suite as the hotel was not that busy. Thank you to the management (Baptiste) for this - we really really appreciated it. The room was so nice we didn’t want to leave. A real pleasure to slow the pace down after the non stop travelling and sightseeing of Myanmar- so much to see and we needed a rest. This was a fantastic spot to have a break. We didn’t leave the hotel on first day - was so nice to relax by the lake. Breakfast was awesome. Croissants (as others wrote) are exquisite. I even had to ask for them at dinner as they were so good - the staff and chef obliged - thank you. Spa was lovely and reasonably priced. We took a local taxi to Aythaya vineyard. A great experience- seeing one of the only two Burmese vineyards. Dinner in the vineyard restaurant was good. The room is well thought out with even mosquito lotion. The body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner are all lovely. Complimentary water. Great coffee machine. Breakfast on the verandah over looking the lake was fabulous. Highlight of it all was a trip around the lake for the full day on a long boat. Just superb. If you only have one day - make sure you do this for the whole day. So picturesque and so many craftsman’s too - jewellers, weavers, cigar makers, black smiths. A full village on the lake, all on stilts plus the odd monastery too. Seeing tomatoes growing in abundance on the lake was just amazing - together with the locals collecting boatloads (literally) of them all. What fantastic photos to remember Lake Inle. Really recommend this place for a lovely break in a hectic Myanmar sightseeing schedule. We stayed 3 nights but could have easily stayed longer. We didn’t have time to use the free bikes, for instance. Thank you Sanctum for a lovely stay.

Quiet place with view on the lake.

Quiet place with view on the lake. Very friendly staff, they even reopened the restaurant at night for me and upgraded me into one of the villas due to very few customers. Good food as well for breakfast and other meals.
